Just Some Random Ramblings...

I've been experimenting just a tiny bit with using my camera on the manual setting. I'm a real technilogical dingbat when it comes to stuff like that and would perish without my children to help me!! ;-) Unfortunately none of the children at home are aspiring photographers other than Daughter #4. But she's very timid and doesn't experiment much. So that leaves me to be the explorer in this realm of technology.   Yeah, we're all in trouble!

Anyway, when I saw the moon rising last night I ran out to capture it as best I could.  It was pretty cool!!!  The shot doesn't really portray the colors as well as I had hoped (nice and orange) but still a beautiful picture nevertheless.  :-)

This weekend I will be working on dying cut up tube socks to make up a bunch of potholders. It's been awhile since I've done this--the kids LOVE doing up potholders. It's a project that you never get too old for!! :-) We'll be making extras for gifts (ssshhh...! Don't tell!!) for Christmas and such.  And you family members reading this...  yes, you!...  Pretend you didn't read this!!  ;-)  I'll post some pictures in the next few days.

It's going to be warming up again this coming week--even up around 80+ so we'll be working on outdoor projects--and boy do we have a bunch of them!! Ahhhh... Spring (for now anyway)!!

A flock of birds in a Sycamore tree behind our mobile home.

I could identify Starlings and Red Winged Blackbirds.
I love the beautiful white bark of the
Sycamore (can you see the seed balls still hanging on?)
and the pretty pink color of the Maple tree
buds in front of the Sycamore tree.

Fluffy out chillin' on this fine pre-spring day.

Hope everyone has an excellent weekend!!

Love your pics. I left you a comment on my blog but going to paste it here...

Thanks! First you are not suppose to give them any personal info. for their privacy and yours. Also age of termination....varies. You could call Compassion and ask. I asked about our little boy from Indonesia and it is like 22. I think each place is different. I am thankful your passion has been ignited. Not sure it was me... but thankful. I have an awesome clip to share...maybe later this week and you can see ERIK in it! It made it so much more real to us!

You bless me too!
