I'm reading this wonderful book titled "Full Moon Feast: Food and the Hunger for Connection" by Jessica Prentice.
I am really enjoying the stories about how our ancestors ate and the connection to seasonal eating through the "monthly" moons. In my quest to eat a more traditional diet this is really helping me to feel the passion for growing my own food and preserving our abundance for winter using my dehydrator--a more traditional approach to preservation--rather than canning or freezing.
I am just so loving this book!!! :-)
